I love the library. I really do. The concept of sharing (free of charge!) a vast collection of materials as well as ideas, personal opinions, skills, interests and knowledge is truly wonderful!

When we moved to Scarborough, the library was our best local resource. In the years that we have lived in this great town, the library has remained at the top of our local resources for information and entertainment. We have spent many happy hours participating in the children’s activities-first the wee-ones lap sit, the toddler sing-alongs and pre-school story times. Our 7-year-old is currently looking forward to the summer reading program.

Scarborough residents are fortunate to have such forward-thinking library staff and trustees. At a time when there are many interests and projects in Scarborough competing for local funds, I applaud them for taking on this daunting task. It will be well worth it. An active library is an investment in ourselves.

I urge Scarborough residents to support the library project.
