Stop playing

On Jan. 22, police ordered two males to stop playing on the Wentworth Intermediate School playground with air guns.

Located teen

On Jan. 19, police received a report of a missing 19-year-old female who had not been heard from since Christmas. Police located the teen at a Portland shelter four days later.

Drugs in school

Police issued summonses to two high school students for drug offenses that were discovered during a routine dog search of the building on Jan. 23. One student was summoned for possession of marijuana. The other was summoned for possession of drug paraphernalia. A female student was caught with a small amount of cocaine. A probation hold was placed on her and she was sent to Long Creek. The drugs were found in a classroom.

Harassing calls

An Acorn Road resident reported receiving three harassing phone calls from an unknown person on Jan. 22.

Missing money

On Jan. 24, Wendy’s employees told police that the business’s bank did not receive a moneybag that was dropped-off during the night. The bag contained $1,000 and it is not clear how the bag went missing.

Marijuana possession

On Jan. 24, a 14-year-old female was summoned for possession of marijuana at the high school.

Cat bite

A caller reported being bitten by a “wild kitten” on Jasper Street on Jan. 25.

Angry guest

On Jan. 25, police arrested Cedric Terry, 27, of Portland, at the Town Place Suites and charged him with disorderly conduct, assault and criminal threatening. According to police, Terry was upset with the hotel’s employees and was belligerent to the police officer when he arrived. Police say Terry entered the hotel yelling and screaming.

Left a bill

On Jan. 26, police received a report from the Extended Stay that a woman had left before paying a $230 bill.

Tobacco violations

Police issued summonses for possession of tobacco to two high school students who were caught smoking in the parking lot.
