Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Turner of New Gloucester are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Danielle Turner, of Naples to Shawn Thomas Johnson of Naples, son of Larry Richard Johnson and the late Maureen Louise Thomas Johnson, and stepson of Johanna Johnson, all of Portland.

Kathryn is a 2001 graduate of Catherine McAuley High School, Portland, and a 2005 graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, N.S., Canada, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts with a dual major in sociology and English. She is a managed disability analyst at Disability RMS, Westbrook.

Shawn is a 1995 Eagle Scout recipient. He graduated from Deering High School, Portland, in 1996 and was graduated in 2000 from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, Mass., with an architectural engineering technology degree. He is employed at Monaghan Commercial and Residential Construction in Portland.

An August 2009 wedding is planned at St. Gregory Church in Gray.
