Thursday, Nov. 21: The New Gloucester Historical Society will honor the town’s resident World War II veterans with a program beginning at 7 p.m. in the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road (Route 231), next to the Town Hall. The veterans will share memories of their military service. Members, friends and the general public are invited. Refreshments will be served.

Saturday, Nov. 23: Limington Historical Society is having an Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Fair, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Limington Municipal Complex, 425 Sokokis Avenue (Route 11), Limington. Besides crafts, shoppers can buy baked goods and the 2014 Limington Historical Society calendar featuring veterans. Luncheon will be available. For more information, call Dianne at 637-3304.

Monday, Nov. 25: Food and Fellowship, Inc. is offering its annual Monday Meal Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday, Nov. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at North Windham Union Church, Route 302, North Windham. Everyone is welcome, and it is free to the community.

Thursday, Nov. 28: Zumba instructor Vicki Toole (also a Lakes Region Weekly columnist) is offering a free Zumba class on Thanksgiving Day morning. Pop the bird in the oven and then come do some pre-feast calorie burning (just don’t literally burn the Turkey!) Class starts at 9 a.m. at the Bridgton Old Town Hall. Sunday, Dec. 1: A tree lighting at 5 p.m. is sponsored by the Raymond Lions Club in conjunction with the Raymond Village Library and begins the holiday season each year in Raymond. All are invited. There will be carolers from the Raymond schools to entertain and refreshments will be served. There will be a special story time beginning at 4:30 p.m., presented by Lisa Davison, youth services assistant.

Sunday, Dec. 8: A Bake and Holiday Gift Basket Sale takes place at the Raymond Village Library, 3 Meadow Road, Raymond, beginning at 10 a.m. until closing at 5 pm. Christmas cookies, pies, breads and all kinds of yummy treats for holiday giving and enjoyment. Come early for best selection.

Saturday, Jan. 4: There will be a Rabies Clinic at the Sebago Town Hall from 10 a.m.-noon. The clinic will be limited to cats and dogs only. No puppies or kittens. Cats must be in carriers, and dogs on a non-retractable leash. The veterinarian also requests no sick or pregnant animals. Costs will be $10. Bring the most recent rabies certificate to receive a 3-year shot, otherwise a 1-year shot will be administered.
