Oct. 24: Maine author Kate Flora will speak at the North Gorham Library at 7 p.m. Author of many mysteries set in Maine and the true crime story, “Finding Amy,” Flora will discuss her experiences as a writer and editor. Saturday, Oct. 26: Raymond Village Community Church on Main Street in Raymond is sponsoring a Halloween Party and Parade for all area children from 3-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Monday, Oct. 28: A rabies clinic will be held at Standish Town Hall, 175 Northeast Road, in the Sebago Lake Room 5-6 p.m. $10 per pet. Cash only. Bring previous rabies certificate. Dogs on leashes and cats in cages. The town clerk will also be there to license dogs if anyone wishes to do so. She will accept cash or checks. No credit cards.
Saturday, Nov. 2: Vandini’s magic & illusions stage show takes place at Schoolhouse Arts Center at 1 p.m. Magic, comedy, large-stage illusions with some TV, look-a-like animal costume characters, all live on stage and lot of children’s participation, a live dove and rabbit, music. Nov. 2: Sebago’s Spaulding Memorial Library holds its third annual Punkin Chunkin from 1-3 p.m., with Sunday, Nov. 3, as a rain date. Both kids and adults can purchase pumpkins and apples to launch across the lower ball field behind the Sebago Elementary School.
