On May 22, at about 3:24 a.m., police responded to a report of an apparently intoxicated female driver at the Irving Service Station on Route 1. According to police, the driver, later identified as Kimberly Gignac, 25, of 20 Pond Road, Limerick, arrived at the service station in a blue minivan and asked for assistance fixing her muffler, which was hanging. Police located Gignac and her vehicle at the service station and later learned that she had earlier driven into a ditch and dooryard off Holmes Road and caused extensive damage to the lawn area and ditch. Gignac was arrested for operating while under the influence.

On May 23, at about 12:27 a.m. police responded to a 911 call from a witness reporting a disturbance in the parking lot of the Downeaster Motel on Route 1.

On May 23, at about 8:35 a.m., police responded to the Maine Smoke Shop, Route 1, for a report of a shoplifter. According to police, the owner of the store had been reviewing surveillance tapes from the day before and observed a shoplifting taking place. The shoplifter was known to the owner, police said.
