Many thanks to the Lakes Region Suburban Weekly for the coverage you gave to the recent Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce 3rd Lakes Brew Fest held at Point Sebago Resort in Casco on Saturday, Sept. 30. This truly was a great day as the weather was strong and people came out in droves to sample 17 brewers, including local favorites Bray’s Brew Pub and Blackmiths Winery, at the brew tent sponsored by Brookfield Mortgage. Atendees also had a chance to try the wares of many great food vendors, see other vendors and the Lakes Region Community Theatre Artisans show and finally to enjoy the varied musical performances including The Disclaimers, Dave Rowe Trio and Mr. Tux at the 207Realty.com sponsored music stage. Of course Summit Spring Water was a Platinum sponsor and gave away water all day long. There were many other sponsors who helped to build this day and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. Our chamber’s mission is to bring people to the region because we know once they come, they will choose to return. One correction in your story is that we had more than 1,200 people in attendance and not 200 as your story mentioned. See you at the next Brew Fest-Saturday September 29, 2007.
