The candidates for the next Windham town council and school board are in. All terms are for three years each.

Town council Chairman John MacKinnon is seeking election for the East District of the seven-seat council. Challenging him are Willard Blanchard and Michael Wakefield.

The town-wide town council seat held by Carol Waig is also on the voting block. Waig is seeking reelection and is challenged by Lane Hiltunen and Ann Rich.

The school committee has five candidates vying for three seats. The candidates are pooled together and voters will be able to endorse up to three. The incumbents are Kathryn Brix, Michael Duffy and Stuart “Toby” Pennels. Challenging them are Marge Govoni and Rosalyn Webb.

The municipal election will be held Tuesday, June 10 at the high school. Elected candidates will be sworn in at the annual town meeting on Saturday, June 14 at the same location.
