Gwen Simons of Scarborough has been selected as one of the best orthopaedic physical therapists in the United States by The Best of the U. S. LLC.
Co-owner of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Associates. 360 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough, Simons is one of 1,479 physical therapists chosen from the 155,000 actively practicing in the U. S. to be listed on www.bestofus.com, a firm that reviews the credentials of practitioners in 14 professions to determine the “Best of Class” in each.
The selection process is based on identifying those professionals who have continued their education, provided leadership in their industry and been recognized by their peers, their industry and their community.
Simons, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT, was recently recertified as a Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Licensed in Maine and Kentucky, she holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kentucky and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Maine Law School.
Simons was recently appointed an adjunct faculty member at the University of New England to teach a course on health policy and legislation in UNE’s new transitional PT doctorate program.
