Lowell’s Tea Room and Beanhole Restaurant on Route 302 across from White’s Bridge Road, advertises a Lunch Plate for 35A?¢, and Pickwick Ale. This may be the oldest restaurant spot in Windham, today known as Papa’s Food & Drink, and was previously known as Red Sands and even Kilgore’s. It also briefly was a Mexican restaurant. In Windham, some of our most historic spots have had many incarnations. Among all the restaurants and drive-thru eateries today, none of them has a lunch plate for 35 cents!
