Pine Point Center for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Scarborough has made several staff additions and changes.
Bernadette LaPierre, RN, has joined Pine Point as the director of nursing services. A native and resident of Portland, she has over 20 years’ experience in emergency and critical care nursing and brings with her program development and strong leadership skills. A graduate of Westbrook College, she was most recently director of critical care ambulance services for Northeast Mobile Health Service.
Linda Brookes, LSW, has assumed the new position of director of admissions and marketing. Brookes, a Higgins Beach resident, has over 25 years’ experience in long term health care. A graduate of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, she joined the Pine Point staff 12 years ago, and was most recently director of social work.
Marcie Yager, LSW, has been promoted to the position of director of social services. Yager, a Gorham resident, is responsible for guiding patients, residents, and families through the complex social issues of long term health care. A graduate of the SUNY Institute of Technology, she has been part of the social work staff at Pine Point for five years.
