More than 200 Fresh Air Fund volunteers, including Suzanne Barr, Scarborough chair; Dawn Hansen, fund representative of Southern Maine, and Mark Hansen, Kennebunk chair, gathered recently in New York City for the fund’s 2006 Friendly Town Conference. The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, non-profit agency, has provided summer vacations to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income neighborhoods.
