On Friday, May 16, a resident came into the police station to turn in a couple of credit cards he had found in the Shore Road area. The owners of the cards were contacted and the cards were destroyed at their requests.
On Wednesday, May 21, an officer met with a resident of the Shore Road area who had found a set of keys. Attached to the keys was a Portland Public Library card. The library was asked to contact the owner.
On Wednesday, May 21, an officer met with a resident of the Shore Road area regarding the theft of a watch and prescription medication from a residence. The case is under investigation.
On Wednesday, May 21, an officer met with a resident of the Shore Acres area regarding an unauthorized charge on the complainant’s debit card. The bank had locked the account due to suspicious activity and issued a new card. The complainant wanted the incident recorded as recommended by the bank.
On Friday, May 25, police located a Motorola Nextel cell phone in the roadway on Route 77 near Kettle Cove Takeout. The phone has been tagged and stored in dispatch.
Fire-rescue
Between May 20 and May 25, the Cape Elizabeth Fire Department transported five people to Maine Medical Center and one person to Mercy Hospital.
On May 20 at 7:29 p.m., the fire department responded to an unpermitted bonfire/camp fire on Moonshadow Lane.
On May 23 at 2:56 a.m. the fire department responded to an activated fire alarm on Scott Dyer Road.
On May 23 at 1:52 p.m. the fire department responded to a report of smoke coming from a chimney on Shore Road.
On May 24 at 10:37 a.m. the fire department provided manpower and conducted a water rescue at Dyer Point and Boathouse Cove.
