The third in a series of statewide Maine Martini Mix-Off events sponsored by Cold River Vodka is slated for Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Eggspectation Restaurant in South Portland.

Up to 15 contestants may enter the event. The martini must include Cold River Vodka, which will be provided. Contestants must bring their own mixers, garnish, and martini glasses. The cost is $10 per contestant. Contestants will be judged on presentation, creativity, originality, showmanship and taste. Each contestant will stand before the crowd, mix their drink, and tell the story behind their martini.

The winner will be named Maine Martini Mixologist and receive a gift basket with prizes worth more than $100. Prizes include a martini shaker, a Cold River long-sleeved t-shirt and hat, and two etched martini glasses. All recipes will become property of Maine Distilleries and will be used for publicity purposes.
