Regular town office hours are Monday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. It is closed for lunch Monday-Friday from noon-1 p.m.

Selectmen meet Tuesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m., at the Durham Town Office. The codes enforcement officer is available Wednesdays, March 13, 20 and 27, from 5-7 p.m.

Third-quarter real estate taxes are due on Friday, March 15.

Rod and gun ?club to meet

The Durham Rod and Gun Club meets Wednesday, March 13, at 7 p.m., at Pound Road, Durham.

Donations sought for high school auction

The Freeport High School Interact Club Silent Auction is Friday March 15, from 6-9 p.m., at the Freeport Community Center, Depot Street. Donations will help send a group of students to the Dominican Republic, where they will be teaching English, working on installing water filters and will bring clothing and vitamins to the orphan children. Youth Baseball registration open

Registration for Durham Youth Baseball is now open through April 5. The program is for ages 4-13 (as of April 30) in Durham, Freeport and Pownal. Signups and payment can be made on the website at www.durhambaseball.com, or print out a form for in-person signups will be held on Wednesday, March 20 and Wednesday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Durham Community School Discovery Room.

Concert to honor ?Bee Douglas

Singer-songwriter Joe Crookston will perform an intergenerational community concert at the Durham Friends Meeting House Saturday, March 22, at 7 p.m., in a tribute to Bee Douglas, who died last June at 103 years old. She was the oldest Durham Friend.

A simple meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12. The Meeting House is located at 532 Quaker Meeting House Road in Durham. For more information email Wendy at [email protected] or see durhamfriendsmeeting.org.

Crookston has performed for a packed theater at the New England Yearly Meeting in Rhode Island. He lives in Ithaca, N.Y., and tours regularly in the U.S., Ireland and Canada. He was awarded the “Album of the Year” by the International Folk Alliance, and received a year-long songwriting grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. He was recently signed to Tamulevich Artists Management along with fellow songwriters John Gorka, Red Horse and Peter Yarrow. PTA seeking auction donations

The Durham PTA’s fourth annual auction is April 27. The PTA uses the money raised to provide field trips, enrichment programs and many teacher-requested educational tools for students.

Community center ?for rent

Durham Eureka Community Center is available to rent for small groups of 50 or less. It’s appropriate for showers, birthday gatherings and meetings. Contact Anita Sellars for more information at 353-6217.

Food pantry

The Lisbon Area Christian Outreach’s food pantry and clothing bank hours are: Wednesday: 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday: 10 a.m. to noon and Saturday: 8 a.m.-10 a.m. LACO serves the communities of Bowdoin, Durham and Lisbon. The website is www.lacopantry.org.

The physical address for food and clothing is the Marion T. Morse Community Center, enter from the Berry Avenue side behind the Lisbon United Methodist Church. The clothing bank cannot accept furniture, appliances, etc., as they do not have the room to store them. For more, call Debbie at 240-1637.
