Regional School Unit 5 Recreation & Community Education is ready for another year of youth basketball.

RCE Basketball League, for ages 8-10, runs Dec. 8-Feb. 2 on Saturdays, with no program on Dec. 22, 29 and Jan. 19., at the Freeport High School Gym. Fee is $60, or $70 for non-RSU 5 players. Teams practice once during the week, with games and clinics on Saturday mornings. The teams also scrimmage at halftime of the high school home games.

FREEPORT – Lil’ Hoopsters Basketball, for ages 4-7, also runs Dec. 8-Feb. 2, 8-9 a.m. on Saturdays at the high school gym. Fee is $50, or $60 for non-RSU 5 players. This program is aimed at introducing the sport through fun drills and instructional games. Registration deadline is Nov. 30.
