Santa dropped in Sunday at the Scarborough Lions Club’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Scarborough Town Hall.

A crowd had gathered for caroling with the Coastal Community Church Choir when he arrived by firetruck, lights and sirens blazing. Santa, accompanied about 50 Scarborough children and their parents, threw the switch to light up the blue spruce. Inside, Pauline Kennedy assisted Santa as Jack Beaulieu was one of the many children who paid him a visit.
