Birthday Party
Keegan Andrews, son of Becky and Will Andrews turned two years old April 25. There was a “Thomas the Train” theme party for him on Sunday, April 24. Those attending were: Taylor Files, Cassidy Bailey, Brianna, Autumn Cobb, his brother, Joshua, aunts and uncles, grandparents and other friends. They all enjoyed ice cream and cake.

Navy Lt. Michael Wisecup, son of Clarence and Elizabeth Wisecup of Highland Cliff Road, recently returned to his home in Virginia Beach from his tour of duty in Iraq. He and his wife, Emily, will leave shortly for his new assignment in California. His family is grateful for his safe return and were able to visit with Emily and Mike in Virginia. Clarence and Liz thank the many people who prayed for Mike and urge them to continue their prayers for all our military.
Beef Expo
Harriet Haskell was recently home to attend the New England Beef Expo at Fryeburg. Several members of Mark Cooper’s 4-H Club “The Red & White Faces” also attended. Those going from the club were: Eric Cooper of Windham; Marie Smith, Danny Smith, Tommy Grant, Samantha Grant and Tim Clark of Gorham; Emily Bartlett of New Gloucester and Colt Carter of Richmond.
To Florida
Dave and Molly McDonald returned home April 26 after spending 20 days in Florida. They visited his sister and her husband, Karen and Blaine Hopkins, at Cypress Lakes Resort, where they caught lots of largemouth bass. They then went to Land O’Lakes Resort for more fishing and visiting with friends. Then it was off to Bushnell, Florida for a 3-day bluegrass pickin’ party at the Watson horse farm hosted by old friends, Bruce & Joyce Watson. They then went to the Sertoma Youth Ranch in Brooksville, Florida for the 21st annual spring bluegrass festival, once again meeting up with several longtime friends and fellow musicians. They had great weather for their trip.
Birthday 104
Ethel Verrill turned 104 April 27. There was a family gathering for her at Ledgewood Manor. The activities director and her helpers decorated her room. Family attending were: Leona Riley, Irvin & Eleanor Verrill, Stan & Pearl Grant, Lauretta Nielson, Teddy & Dotty Riley, Steve & Pam Rich, Tia Rich, Billy Wheelock and Wayne Wheelock. Among those unable to attend were her son, Clayton Verrill and his wife Joan. There was cake and ice cream and gifts for Ethel.
Reminder
Don’t forget to visit the old advertising tins display at the Windham Library before May 21. This is part of a collection of Louise Sinclair’s. He began collecting advertising tins 20 years ago. Some of them are very rare and many are from other countries.
