It was a cold, windy winter night when Ed Whitcomb relaxed with his iPad near the fire outside the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport last week. “I just came from the library,” Whitcomb said. “You never know when they’re going to light this thing.” Whitcomb said the fire was keeping him perfectly comfortable.
