On Thursday, April 3 at 10:05 a.m., police responded to Scarborough High School for a report of a disturbance. Police were informed that two female students had been fighting. One of the students, age 15, was suspended and issued a summons on a charge of assault.
On Friday, April 4 at about 12:21 p.m. police responded to a County Road business for a report of harassment. Police were informed that an employee’s ex-boyfriend had been making harassing phone calls to her cell phone. Police determined that no threats had been made and no crime had been committed.
On Friday, April 4, at about 11:46 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Holmes Road and Bridges drive. According to police, Michael Butler, 33, of 47 Tapley Road, had failed to negotiate the hairpin turn, driven through a guard rail and rolled his vehicle into a ditch. Butler was transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. Police said results of blood alcohol tests are pending.
On Sunday, April 6, police responded to McDonald’s on Route 1 for a report of threatening or terrorizing behavior. According to police, a customer had threatened to hurt an employee and left the property in his vehicle. Staff reported that there is an ongoing problem with this particular customer being abusive toward staff and complaining about his orders. The man had argued with a female drive-through window operator over a mistake in his order, and continued this behavior with another employee who came out of the restaurant to talk to him. Police did not locate the individual.
