Fuego Diablo hosting British-type yard sale
Fuego Diablo will host a car bootie sale on Sunday, July 13, from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
A much-loved British tradition, a car bootie is part yard sale, part flea market, part festival and all fun. Participants are invited to load up their car, including a table, and park on the Fuego Diablo lawn with other sellers. There, sellers set up a stall and sell items out of the back of their vehicles. It’s like a multi-family yard sale in some else’s yard. Decorations and creativity are encouraged to lure shoppers.
Fuego Diablo will be selling fresh baked goods and hot sauce along with free-range art, antiques and treasures from the attic, including music CDs collected in England. Artists and craftspeople are invited to participate, as are busking musicians. The cost is $10 to secure a spot. Buskers can perform for free. The deadline to sign up is June 26. Fuego Diablo is located at 52 Loring Lane in Pownal, on the way to Bradbury Mountain State Park. For more information, contact Jamie and Wren Pearson at 408 3185 or visit Fuego Diablo on Facebook.
