Nicholas J. Padavano, right, received his white coat from his father, Dr. John J. Padavano, in a ceremony held recently by the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. The “white coat” ceremony celebrated the transition from a layperson to a physician in training. John Padavano was a member of the inaugural class at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Padavanos live in Scarborough.
