The current U.S. Post Office, built in 1999 off Mechanic Street, replaced its forerunner, at left, at 54 Main St. The new post office is located on the site of the former F.S. Plummer lumber and hardware business. The old post office site became part of an expansion of Gorham Savings Bank, next door at 64 Main St.
