Vehicle vandalism

On Sept. 10, at about 3:58 p.m., there was a complaint about vandalism done to a motor vehicle at Fort Williams Park. The front passenger-side window of a van had been smashed out, but no money was missing. Damage is estimated at $500.

Pounded panel

On Sept. 11, at about 3:45 p.m., a resident of the Mitchell Road area reported criminal mischief done to a motor vehicle. Someone had dented the rocker panel under the driver’s door of the vehicle. Damage was estimated at $302.

Bike found

On Sept. 12, at about 5:15 p.m., a Fowler Road area resident reported finding a bicycle. The bicycle is a black-and-chrome Sting Ray and was given to the police for storage.

Dog fight

On Sept. 13, at about 11 a.m., a resident of the Fowler Road area reported a dog attacking another dog. Police made contact with the two dog owners. Injuries were minor and both dogs are current on their vaccinations. Quarantine notices were served to the dog owners.

Cash lifted

On Sept 13, at about 4:10 p.m., a Scarborough resident came to the Cape Elizabeth Police Department to report a motor vehicle burglary that occurred at the high school. The resident stated that $20 was taken from the vehicle.

Verbal confrontation

On Sept 13, at about 7:04 p.m., an officer met with a resident of Broad Cove Road area regarding a verbal altercation and about obtaining protection paperwork.

Summonses

Sept. 12

Moe’s Weedworks, of Dana Mill Road, Woolwich, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for an unregistered motor vehicle.

Gregory McIntyre, of Old Mill Road, Falmouth, was issued a summons on Route 77 for failing to obtain a Maine license within 90 days of moving to the state.

Susan Bastin, 41, of 16 Hunts Point Road, was issued a summons on Route 77 for failing to produce insurance.

Christine Burnell, of Preble Street, Portland, was issued a summons on Route 77 for a suspended registration.

Sept. 14

Merle B. Reed, 79, of Mariaville Road, Ellsworth, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for domestic violence.

Arrests

Sept. 13

Kenneth J. LaFlamme, 35, of 27 Vernon Road, was arrested at his home on charges of a Superior Court warrant for failing to pay a fine for operating after license was revoked.

Merle B. Reed, 79, of Mariaville Road, Ellsworth, was arrested at a Two Lights Road residence on charges of assault and domestic violence.

Fire and Rescue

The Cape Rescue squad responded to 12 calls between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18. Four patients were transported to Mercy Hospital, six were transported to Maine Medical Center and two required no transport.

The Cape Elizabeth Fire Department responded to a call to assist police on High View Road at 10:23 a.m. on Sept. 12; an activated gas alarm on Granite Ridge Road at 3:14 p.m. on Sept. 12; a watercraft rescue at Zeb Cove at 8:10 a.m. on Sept. 13; a watercraft rescue at Alewife Cove at 10:08 a.m. on Sept. 13; a watercraft rescue at McKinney Point at 11:25 a.m. on Sept. 13; a smoke investigation on Spurwink Avenue at 3:24 p.m. on Sept. 17; and a mutual aid call in South Portland at 6:25 p.m.
