Scarborough’s Catie Funk watches her fifth inning home run fly out of the park against Bonny Eagle on Saturday. Funk’s two-run shot sealed a 6-0 win for the Storm and set them up with a date against South Portland in the regional championship game on Wednesday.

Funk comes home

The entire Red Storm softball team waits to greet Catie Funk as she crosses the plate after her fifth inning homer against Bonny Eagle on Saturday. The Red Storm blew past the Scots 6-0 in the semifinal game and faced South Portland for the regional championship on Wednesday (the game was played after the Current’s deadline).
