Project G.R.A.C.E. seeks sponsors
Project G.R.A.C.E. (Granting Resources and Assistance through Community Effort) – a non-profit 501 (C) (3) corporation that serves individuals and families in need in our community by providing immediate help is seeking business sponsors for Scarborough’s upcoming SummerFest event taking place Saturday, August 19th from 5-9pm at the Kippy Mitchell Sports Complex (Scarborough high school fields). 100% of the sponsorship dollars will assist a neighbor in need in Scarborough and surrounding area.
In the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor, the group would like to acknowledge businesses that have come forward already to assist in the fundraising effort: Scarborough Hannaford is donating and cooking for the food booth, Maine Root has donated root beer, and also is creating a fun, Ring the Root game, Friendly’s is donating ice cream, and regular major sponsors – Scarborough Downs and Norway Savings Bank have once again each pledged $500 sponsorships. For the fourth year in a row, the Current, our hometown newspaper in Scarborough, will be a major sponsor of this event and has agreed to donate over $1800 in print advertising to help Project G.R.A.C.E. promote the event. Sponsorships are $500 and $100, and offer sponsors great goodwill exposure – all donations are tax deductible. The fundraising goal is $12,000.
