The Portland Water District invites area preschoolers to join them for themed, read-aloud story times and related activities during the fall and winter months.
The books and activities offered will aim to build upon children’s natural curiosities about the environment. All events are free and take place on Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m. Snacks are provided.
The following are the dates the program runs as well as the discussion topics: Nov. 3, Water; Dec. 1, Sense of Place; Jan. 19, Winter & Snow; Feb. 2, Winter Wildlife; March 9, Plants; April 13, Springtime.

Story times will be held at the Sebago Lake Ecology Center at the intersection of Routes 237 and 35 in Standish.
