As a child in the West Baldwin two room school, I waited in impatient anticipation, for my turn to read the latest book that our teacher, Mrs. Emma Lamont had added to our two-shelf library. Today each time that our library’s reference director locates a book for me, through inter-library loan, I find that the impatient anticipation lives again.
This pleasure of continuing education, through the library, along our chosen routes, is limited only by our imagination. Our grasp is limited only by the reach of Catherine’s computer. I hope that you will support the library referendum that will guarantee this pleasure, and personal learning facilities, for the thousands of children and other age groups who will be waiting in impatient anticipation, for their turn to read that special book.
