Through March 31: The Cape Elizabeth Church of the Nazarene hosts Loaves & Fishes, a weekly opportunity for people in Cape Elizabeth and neighboring areas to gather and share a simple meal and fellowship. Thursday, Feb. 12: Jose Duddy, Maine’s No. 1 country singer/entertainer, will perform at Scarborough Terrace on Route 1 in Scarborough at 2 p.m. The public is invited to join residents, friends and families for a song-filled afternoon. Jose will perform classics with country flair, from artists including Frank Sinatra, George Jones, Nat King Cole, Elvis, Eddy Arnold, Conway Twitty, Bobby Darin and many more. Wednesday, Feb. 18: Osewantha Garden Club of South Portland will meet at 1 p.m. at the South Portland Community Center on Nelson Road. The business meeting will be followed by a program given by Anna Hunt from Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset who will speak on bats and how the white nose syndrome is affecting them.

Thursday, Feb. 19: The Scarborough Garden Club monthly meeting starts at 12:30 p.m. at The Hillcrest Community Center, 108 Hillcrest Ave. Program: “Invasive and Foreign Plants in Scarborough.” Guest Speaker: June McClean. Guests are welcome. For membership information, call 510-1371.

Feb. 20-March 7: Lyric Music Theater’s production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” runs at the theater located at 176 Sawyer St. in South Portland. Opening night performance with gala reception is Friday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. Regular performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Reserved tickets are $21.99 and seniors are $17.99. Monday, Feb. 23: A VNA Grief Support Group starts Feb. 23 and will meet for six Mondays from 10:30 a.m.-noon at VNA Home Health Hospice, 50 Foden Road in South Portland. This is a closed group (same group of people meeting each week) that works best if you are able to attend all sessions. Saturday, March 7: From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, located at 200 Gorham Road in South Portland, will host a woodturning workshop free of charge. Rockler is partnering with internationally renowned Robert Sorby Tools of England for the workshop designed for all skill levels. Thursday, April 30: The third Community Dialogue to guide the future planning efforts of Scarborough Public Schools will be held 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Wentworth School. A light dinner will be served. Community members, students, parents, teachers and school staff, civic and business leaders, and elected officials will be encouraged to sponsor and participate in dialogues. Dialogues are self-directed and focused on topics of educational, economic, and organizational importance to the Scarborough community. For more information, call 730-4100.
