Scarborough Police Officer John Gill got an unusual call on Thursday, June 30. A hot air balloonist in trouble landed on Horseshoe Drive, off Black Point Road, in the early morning. Gill assisted the occupants as they landed, by stabilizing the basket while they packaged up the balloon to get out of the roadway, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
