
Durham Fire and Rescue trained recently with Life Flight of Maine. Life Flight offers the free training to teach local responders, among other things, how to safely set up landing and takeoff zones for the helicopter, and when to approach the helicopter with a patient. Facing the camera, sitting in the seat inside the helicopter, is Kassidy Nobles. Lauren Larrabee is in the first row. John Benedict, right, known as “The Corn Man,” sells a dozen fresh ears to Tom Arsenault of New Gloucester at Benedict’s roadside stand on Route 9 in Durham. Benedict was getting $7 a dozen.
