BIDDEFORD — Gregory R. Eno, 62, of Biddeford died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough after a long illness with cancer.

He was born in Caribou on March 18, 1953, the son of Walter J. and Ida A. Rossignol Eno. He was educated in Caribou and Bourne, Massachusetts schools, graduating from Bourne High School in 1971.

Gregory served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he continued his education at Ricker College in Houlton, and graduated from Franklin Institute in Boston, Massachusetts as a journeyman electrician.

Mr. Eno worked for a while as an electrician on oil rig supply boats in Louisiana. He later worked in Cape Cod, Massachusetts as an electrical contractor for several years. In 1994 he became disabled after being run over by an automobile in Cape Cod.

He moved to Maine, and was a member of the Scarborough Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed breeding Siamese cats and tinkering with electronic components.

He is survived by: his father, Walter J. Eno and his wife Mary Lou Riker of Scarborough; two brothers, Walter W. Eno of Dunnellon, Florida, and Mark J. Eno of Saco; a sister, Susan; his devoted partner, Cherie Schaffer of Biddeford; a close friend, Richard Joy of Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford.

Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
