ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — A Dutch journalist has confirmed she has been expelled from Turkey, becoming the third foreign journalist to be deported after reporting from the country’s mainly Kurdish southeast.

Frederike Geerdink was detained last week in the town of Yuksekova with a group of “human shield” protesters attempting to stop violence between Turkey’s security forces and the Kurdish rebels.
