LYMAN — Carol J. Stackpole, 65, of Lyman, passed away after a brief illness late Monday evening on Aug. 31, 2015, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Bowie, Maryland on Jan. 4, 1950, the daughter of Louis and Rose Eva (Maillet) Beal.

Carol worked in local mills for over 30 years. One of her greatest accomplishments was going back to school after 35 years and receiving her GED from the Biddeford Adult Education Program. She was chosen valedictorian of her Class of 2000.

Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her biggest joys in life were the small things and seeing her family happy. She enjoyed the time spent with family and friends on Ossipee Lake, cruising the lake at sunset to the oldies in a boat named Sunkist and sitting on her front porch in the warm sun with her husband, watching the nature around them with her two dogs, Micky and Bambi.

Recently, she was looking forward to her first great-granddaughter, due in December.

Carol was a woman of many wonderful talents which include crafting, a beautiful singing voice, dancing, and lately, crocheting beautiful things for people she loved.

But mostly, she will be remembered for her one-ofa kind personality. She had the special ability to light up any room by making them laugh, making the times spent together memorable. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by: her devoted husband of 26 years, Arthur Stackpole of Lyman; three loving children, Laurie Veilleux of Lyman, Ronald R. Grenier Jr. and his wife Lisa of Saco, and Lisa M. Cole and her fiancé Rick Crozier of Dayton; and seven grandchildren, Melanie, Ryan, Joshua, Bryce, Alex, Tyler, and Aiden.
