BIDDEFORD — More than a dozen vehicles were egged Thursday night into Friday morning in what police say was most likely a prank teenagers or young adults.
Although Mayor Alan Casavant’s car was one of the vehicles egged, Deputy Police Chief JoAnne Fisk said Saturday that the mayor’s car was not targeted.
“These are just some kids doing what they shouldn’t be doing,” said Fisk. “There’s no tie to the mayor.”
Fisk speculated that University of New England students, who recently arrived for the fall semester, which began last week, could be responsible, but there is no evidence to prove that. Fisk said 15- 16 vehicles were egged on Pool Street, including in the parking lot of the Saint Andre Health Care facility, and on Guinea Road and West Street.
