Proving Grounds in Lebanon has partnered with Clear Choice Events and will be hosting the family friendly country festival “Hog Wild” at its location at 270 Carl Broggi Highway on Aug. 15. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., features live music, lawnmower racing, mega truck displays, “aqua” tug-o-war, a skillet toss contest, pig roast and more.

Some of the best drivers on the cutting edge of their sport will be haulin’ grass in a demonstration of their skills in the lawnmower racing arena. Mega Trucks, the next level down from a “Monster Truck” – which do so much more than a Big Old Monster Truck – will be on hand to give a demonstration to entertain guests of all ages.

Proving Grounds will be opening their “aqua” pad to the public. Guests are welcome to try to see if their machine can out-pull another in a very non-traditional tug-o-war.

For the less daring there will be various contests such as the skillet toss, hot dog and pie eating contests, or families can just chill out and listen to the sounds of Muddy Ruckus, performing 1-4 p.m.

Admission is free to military members and dependents with ID; $10 for general public, $5 for parking and children ages 8 and under are free. Free tent camping will be available on a first come, first served basis.

No outside food or beverage will be permitted, but there will be food and beverage for purchase in the festival area.
