ERIE, Pa. — Jorge Marban faced the final batter of the game, fanning Dominic Ficociello and giving the Portland Sea Dogs (41-70) a 7-6 win over the Erie SeaWolves (43-66) on Wednesday night at Jerry Uht Park.

Marban relieved Williams Jerez with two outs after Jerez fanned Dean Green, but he reached on a passed ball. Portland’s bullpen worked 4 1/3 innings on three hits and one run to wrap up the victory and tie the series at one game apiece. Mike Augliera (3-14) earned his first relief win, working 2 1/3 innings on two hits and one run.

The Sea Dogs snapped a 5-5 tie in the seventh inning, scoring two runs off losing pitcher Confessor Lara. With one out, Tim Roberson extended his hitting streak to 13 games, nailing an RBI single to right. Tzu-Wei Lin added the second run with a fielder’s choice.

Portland took a 3-0 lead in the second inning off starter Tommy Collier. Henry Ramos singled with one out and scored on a triple by Lin. Keury De La Cruz followed with a two-run homer to right field, his sixth of the season.

Erie responded for four runs off Aaron Wilkerson. Wade Gaynor knocked in the first run and Harold Castro cleared the bases with a double. Wilkerson yielded five runs, five hits, three walks and four strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in his Double-A debut.

The Sea Dogs tied the game in the fifth off Collier. Dustin Lawley and Jordan Weems set up the rally with singles and scored on a triple by Carlos Asuaje.

Portland’s entire lineup had at least one hit and finished 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

The Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers affiliate) meet for the final time this season tonight. Right-hander Justin Haley (4-12, 5.32 ERA) makes his team-leading 22nd start of the season for Portland. Erie counters with righty Austin Kubitza (6-10, 6.08).
