The new Gateway Park, at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Washington Street in Sanford, will be the place to be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, for some family fun and a the first official lighting of the waterfalls. Crews from Advanced Lighting Concepts, seen at the right, were busy one day last week, installing the lights that will be used to illuminate the falls. Friday night events include music, kids games and more. Mayor Tom Cote will be on hand to share his vision for Sanford ”“ and then the lights go on.
