KENNEBUNK — After a scoreless first half, the Biddeford field hockey team would surge in the second to pick up a 5-1 win over Kennebunk on Wednesday.
Sarrah Marcotte broke the tie just 30 second into the second half to give Biddeford the 1-0 advantage. Brooklyn Goff would then score two goals for Biddeford, along with Peyton McKeown and Abby Allen, who scored one apiece. Hailey Allen recorded three assists on the day.
Biddeford goalie Taylor Wildes racked up 13 saves, including 12 in the first half, while Kennebunk’s Hailey Moody made 19 stops. Christine Jarowicz had Kennebunk’s lone goal.
TA, Kennebunk impress at girls golf outing
Webhannet Country Club hosted a high school girls golf outing on Wednesday, and a handful of locals stood out in the competition.
Thornton Academy’s Yoyo Wu took second place with a 42, while Kennebunk’s Saami Murray finished third at 43. TA’s Jordan Laplume took fourth with a score of 44, while Kennebunk’s Emma Flores placed fifth with a 49.
