WATERTOWN, NY — A four-run second blew open the rubber match between visiting Old Orchard Beach and the Watertown Bucks Monday night at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds. A one-run advantage for the vistors was quickly upped to five in the second frame, which allowed the Surge to cruise to a 9-4 victory.
Tucker White picked up a couple of hits and drove in two runs, while Tyler Krobetzky added two RBIs of his own.
Surge pitcher Tyler Levine lasted 5 1/3 innings, allowing just two runs while striking out five Bucks batters. Old Orchard Beach (5-8) overcame a loss on Saturday to defeat Watertown by a combined score of 24-5 over the final two games of the three-game set.
The Surge have today off before visiting Newburgh (NY) for the first time this season.
