
He was born in Biddeford on Sept. 22, 1947, a son of Gerard R. Sr. and Hattie (Tracy) Cloutier.
Gerard was educated from Thornton Academy. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was employed as an aero technician for Pratt & Whitney for 30 years, retiring in 2009.
Gerard had a great love of the outdoors, doing everything with his family from camping to hunting to fishing. Another of his passions was deep sea fishing in the ocean for tuna and shark.
He was a member of the Saco Yacht Club for over 25 years. He cherished the friendships he made there over the years.
He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Dakota Rain Cloutier.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Priscilla Cloutier; one son, Michael Cloutier; one daughter, Stacey Cloutier; and seven grandchildren Tyler, Michaela, Kaylee, Lexi, Gerard, Journey and Damien. He is also survived by one brother, Edward “Bubba” Cloutier, three sisters, Linda Parisien, Nancy Hicks and Laurie Lemay; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
