BIDDEFORD — Peter Folger, 68, late of Biddeford, formerly from Wellesley and Gloucester, Massachusetts, died from advanced lung disease at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on May 19.
He is survived by: his two sisters, Alice Milardo of Middletown, Connecticut, and Lydia of Longmont, Colorado; two nieces and a nephew; a great-nephew and great-niece; and several cousins.
Peter had many skills, and worked as a printer and shift supervisor. But his happiest jobs were driving a bus, first for Trombley Bus Lines, and most recently for the Portland Transit Authority.
Peter was a true rail fan and spent many happy hours at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, where he was a member since age 13, and had at one time managed the gift shop.
A memorial service in his honor will be held at the Seashore Trolley Museum, 195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport on Wednesday, June 17 at 11 a.m. A collation will follow at the museum.
Donations in Peter’s memory may be given to the Seashore Trolley Museum, or the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
