SACO — It is with great sadness that the family of Terrence H. Tingley, Sr., 76, of Saco announces his passing on Saturday, May 11, 2019 with his family by his side.

He was born in Houlton on April 24, 1943, the son of Hanford and Maxine (Worthley) Tingley.  Mr. Tingley graduated from Thornton Academy.

He married Diana Harvey on Nov. 28, 1968 at Most Holy Trinity Church.

Terry owned and operated a construction (excavation) company, T.H. Tingley, Inc., which he ran with his son, Terry, Jr.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, ice fishing and gardening.  He loved children and animals.

He is predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Diana of 50 years; a son, Terrence Tingley, Jr. and partner Melissa Bennett; two sisters  Sharon Lowell and husband Ernest and Susan St. Onge and husband Richard; a niece Heather Cole and husband Charles; two nephews:  Scott St. Onge and Brian St. Onge and wife Sonia; great-nieces Haley Dunlap and Natalie St. Onge; great-nephews  Casey Cole, Tucker Cole and Hunter St. Onge; and a sister-in-law Judy Harvey.

Visiting Hours will 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.  A Funeral Service will follow at noon on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Merle Mitchell officiating.  Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco after the funeral.
