LYMAN — Mary Alice Dore, 76 of Lyman, died on April 27 at Maine Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Blue Hill on April 28, 1938, the daughter of Theodore and Anita (Gould) Towns. She grew up and was educated in Wells.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her great love was her family, and her involvement with the Down East Country Music Association.

She is survived by: her husband, James Dore of Lyman; six sons and their wives, James and Ann Dore of Thompsons Station, Tennessee, Michael and Brenda Dore of Lyman, Fred and Debra Dore of Sanford, John and Sandra Dore of Fort Wayne, Indiana, William and Kelly Dore of Wells, and Daniel and Rachael Dore of Springvale; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Skip Ambrose.

At Mary’s request, there will be no public services. Arrangements are in the care of the Johnson Funeral Home, North Berwick.
