WELLS — Shauna Ann LaPierre, 24, of Fox Ridge Drive, Wells, died unexpectedly April 15, 2015 at Carney Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Shauna was born June 1, 1990 in Sanford, a daughter of Richard and Wendy (Boudreau) LaPierre. She graduated from Wells High School and attended college at both the University of New England and York County Community College.

Shauna had a passion for cooking and had launched a chef’s career at the Beehive Eatery in Boston.

Shauna loved the outdoors; she enjoyed camping with family, doing yard work with her father, and fishing on occasion with her grandfather, Raymond. She was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and an excellent quilter.

Born with smarts and grit, Shauna excelled at whatever she put her mind to. She could take apart a broken motorbike piece by piece, fix it and put it back together ”“ which she once did with ease at age 21. Always eager and optimistic, Shauna believed in helping others and working hard. This personal ethic was exemplified in how she engaged with others of all ages, lending a hand whenever possible. She treasured her family and favored hanging out with her sister, Heather.

Through treatment and recovery support, Shauna was successfully reordering her life and growing into the person she was meant to be. She knew she had a lot to contribute to the world, and Shauna was on her way there ”“ helping many, young and old, in early recovery.
