BIDDEFORD — Cecelia J. Lauzon, 91, of Biddeford, passed away at her home Saturday evening, March 21, 2015 following a brief illness.

She was born in Saco on May 12, 1923, a daughter of Frank and Gertrude C. (McCarthy) Harmon, and was raised and educated there.

Cecelia worked in local shoe shops until she married H. Paul Lauzon on June 7, 1941.

Mrs. Lauzon was an excellent homemaker, cook and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting as well as giving away what she made to family and friends, including President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara.

She is preceded in death by: her loving husband of 54 years, H. Paul Lauzon, on Oct. 21, 1995; her eldest daughter, Cecelia R. Hersey of Saco, who died following a long illness on Oct. 31, 2013; an infant grandson, baby Fred Hersey in 1962; and five sisters, Gertrude Glaude, Margaret Lamontagne, Ella Hines, Elizabeth (Betty) Tremblay and

She is survived by: a daughter, Priscilla E. Lapointe of Biddeford; five grandchildren, Catherine P. Hersey, Cecelia Page Hersey, Michael H. Hersey, Sandra M. Lapointe, and David P. Lapointe; 10 great-grandchildren, Sasha A. Rupard, Ryan P. Forrest, Christopher A. Forrest, Branden L. Lapointe, Anna L. Lapointe, Sabrina L. Lapointe, Brandon R. Hersey, Connor F. Hersey, Joshua T. Phillips, and Kyle M. Ramsey; five great-great-grandchildren, Jacob D. Cote, Kyle A. Cimolonski, Katrenna Rose Forrest, Dustin Rielie Forrest and Julian Jay Forrest; and several nieces and nephews

Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. Visiting hours will follow from 5:30-7 p.m.

A spring burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford is planned.
