SACO — Pauline Chenard, 95, of Saco, and formerly of Biddeford, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Biddeford, a daughter of Napoleon and Delina (Labbe) Verrier and was educated in local schools.

On July 5, 1937 she married Paul H. Chenard at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.

She was employed at Bates Manufacturing and West Point Pepperell, retiring in the late 1970s.

Pauline enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, knitting and participating in many activities at the Inn at Atlantic Heights.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Paul, on Oct. 12, 1989; and by a brother, Leo Paul Verrier.

She is survived by: a daughter, Gail Ferrante and her husband Robert of Saco; three sons, Paul R. Chenard and his wife Annie of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Kenneth Chenard and his wife Eileen of Biddeford, and Kevin Chenard and his wife Patricia of Fernandina, Florida; six grandchildren, Paula, Jeffrey, James, Katie, Cory and Joseph; six great-grandchildren, Amber, William, Riley, Campbell, Paige and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 and 9-10 a.m. on Friday, March 20 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
