BIDDEFORD — Claire P. Bouffard, 83, of Biddeford, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at the Monarch Center in Saco.

She was born May 30, 1931 in Biddeford, the daughter of Arthur and Merilda (Brochu) Hevey and was educated locally, graduating from St. Joseph’s High School.

On Nov. 16, 1957, she married Raymond Bouffard at St. Joseph’s Church.

As a young woman, she had been employed at the Pepperell Mills, and after her children were grown she was employed with Laverdiere’s Drug Store and later as a teller at Pepperell Trust Company.

Claire was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

In her retirement, she volunteered her time at Southern Maine Health Care and enjoyed traveling and puzzles.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Bouffard, in 1987; a son, Michael Bouffard, in 1975; and her 11 older brothers, Albert, John, Paul-Emile, Roland, Larry, Claude, Jack, Gerard, Rene, Henry and Bob.

She is survived by: one daughter, Brenda Foster and her husband Mark of Rollinsford, New Hampshire; a son, Steven Bouffard of Brookline, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Mary, Katherine and Christopher; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
