AUGUSTA — State Sen. David Dutremble of Biddeford has been selected to serve on the Joint Standing Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife for the 127th Legislative session.
“I am honored and excited to once again serve on the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee,” said Sen. Dutremble. “Ensuring that sportsmen and outdoor activities receive the attention they deserve will have an important impact on Maine’s economy and way of life.”
The bipartisan, 13-member committee reviews proposals pertaining to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Previous bills have addressed hunting, fishing, fisheries and wildlife research, ATVs and snowmobiles.
Legislative committees are decided by the president of the Senate and speaker of the House.
Sen. Dutremble previously served as chair of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee in the 126th Legislature, as well as on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.
Sen. Dutremble is serving his second term representing Senate District 32, which includes the municipalities of Alfred, Arundel, Biddeford, Dayton, Kennebunkport and Lyman.
