Stuff the Bus director Wanda Parent, left, accepted a $1,500 check from Sherry Simonds of Kennebunk Savings Bank. Stuff the Bus is a program of Strategies for A Stronger Sanford. Parent said she was thrilled to receive the grant, which was used to purchase backpacks and school supplies for children in need, as well as the children of eight military families connected to the Sanford National Guard Unit. The program assisted an estimated 2,000, school aged children this year, and organizers say they are thankful to Kennebunk Savings for being a wonderful community partner.
